Yoni & Pelvic Steaming Info

We’re honored you’ve chosen Guided Flame Spa to support your wellness journey. Our intention is to offer a calm, peaceful space where traditional practices can be experienced with care. Please review the information below so you feel fully informed before your Yoni/Pelvic steaming session.

Note: Yoni/Pelvic steaming is a wellness practice and is not a medical treatment. It should not replace care from your licensed healthcare provider. If you have medical concerns, please consult your clinician before booking.

What Is Yoni/Pelvic Steaming?

Yoni/Pelvic steaming is a seated wellness practice where warm, herb-infused steam is directed toward the external pelvic area. Sessions are designed for comfort and relaxation. Heat and botanicals are selected gently; the steam should feel warm, never hot.

Your Privacy and Comfort

- You are never physically exposed to staff or other clients.

- Services take place in a private room.

- You are draped with towels/robes throughout your session.

- You may stop the session at any time—just say the word.

How a Session Works

1. Arrival and intake: We review your goals, health considerations, and preferences.

2. Setup: You’ll change into a robe and sit on a specially designed steaming seat.

3. Steam: Gentle, warm steam with a special blend of all natural and organic herbs.

4. Monitoring: We check in regularly to ensure comfort and adjust heat or duration as needed.

5. Wrap-up: We review after-care and answer any questions.

Typical session length: 20–40 minutes (shorter for sensitive clients). First-time sessions may be shorter and cooler for safety.

When to Schedule

- Not during menstruation or active bleeding.

- If trying to conceive, schedule in the follicular phase (after your period ends and before ovulation).

- Postpartum: Wait until bleeding has stopped and you have provider clearance (often around 6 weeks).

- After surgery, miscarriage, or abortion: Wait until cleared by your provider.

- After a C‑section: Often 8–12 weeks with provider clearance (skin fully healed).

How Often Should I Steam?

- Occasional relaxation: 1–4 times per month.

- Cycle support: Up to 1 time per week outside of menstruation.

- Sensitive clients or those new to steaming: Start with shorter, cooler sessions less frequently.

Your comfort and response guide frequency. If you experience irritation or increased symptoms, reduce frequency or pause and consult a clinician.

What Might I Feel During/After?

- Gentle warmth, relaxation, light sweating.

- Temporary increase in moisture/discharge.

- Possible light spotting for some—this should be minimal and brief.

Stop the session immediately if you feel dizziness, nausea, sharp pain, burning, or shortness of breath.

Health & Safety Precautions (Please Read)

- Heat safety: Steam must be warm, never hot. Burns can occur with excessive heat.

- Hydration: Drink water before and after your session.

- Skin sensitivity: Avoid same-day shaving/waxing/sugaring to reduce irritation.

- Herbs and allergies: Common herbs may include mugwort, calendula, chamomile, rosemary, and lavender. If you have plant allergies (e.g., ragweed/chamomile sensitivity) or prefer no botanicals, we can customize blend or steam with water only.

- Infection control: Do not steam with any active infection, outbreak, open wound, or unexplained pain.

- Equipment hygiene: Seats are disinfected between clients; liners and towels are fresh each session. All Yoni/ Pelvic pots are deeply disinfected between clients and herbs replaced.

- Personal items: Remove fresh genital piercings; avoid wearing occlusive products that could trap heat.

Immediately tell your practitioner if you feel too warm or unwell at any point.
